The Montecristo 1935 Anniversary Nicaragua Toro is what happens when a legacy brand hands its anniversary blend to AJ Fernandez — a 6 × 54 soft box-pressed Nicaraguan puro built entirely from tobaccos grown on AJ's estates, developed with Altadis's Grupo de Maestros. It's the boldest cigar to wear the Montecristo band, and arguably the best.

Construction

A dark, oily wrapper with a gentle press and flawless roll. Cold draw brings coffee and dark earth. AJ's factory consistency shows in the even burn and firm ash across the full smoke.

Flavor profile

Medium-full to full-bodied and layered. The first third opens with wood, coffee, and a cinnamon spice. The middle third deepens into leather, dark chocolate, and roasted earth with a naturally sweet tobacco core. The final third finishes long with warm spice and sweetness. Complex enough to reward attention for the full 70–85 minutes.
