The Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short Story is one of the most beloved small cigars ever made — a 4 × 49 perfecto that has introduced more smokers to the figurado shape than any other cigar. Part of the Hemingway series (every vitola named for the author's works, every one a perfecto), it's handcrafted in the Dominican Republic with a genuine African Cameroon wrapper over aged Dominican binder and filler. The tapered foot lights instantly and focuses the flavor from the very first draw.

Construction

Fuente's perfecto rolling is an art form, and the Short Story is its most popular canvas. The Cameroon wrapper is toothy and reddish-brown, the seams invisible. The burn follows the perfecto's curves evenly, and the draw opens up perfectly as the cigar widens.

Flavor profile

Mild to medium-bodied and exceptionally smooth. It opens with cedar and a sweet, toasty note straight off the tapered foot.
