Ashton Aged Maduro No.10 (Robusto)

The Ashton Aged Maduro No. 10 is the maduro lover's gateway to the Ashton portfolio — a 5 × 50 robusto rolled at the Fuente factory with a dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over aged Dominican binder and filler. Where most maduros chase power, this one chases smoothness — and finds it.

Construction

A dark, slightly toothy Broadleaf wrapper applied with Ashton's exacting standards. Cold draw gives chocolate and sweet earth. Even burn, solid ash, and a relaxed, open draw front to back.

Flavor profile

Medium-bodied and dessert-smooth. The first third opens with dark chocolate and espresso. The middle third develops molasses, roasted nuts, and a soft earthy base. The final third finishes sweet and toasty with no harshness whatsoever. The rare maduro you could smoke before noon. A 45–60 minute smoke.

Pairings & occasion

An any-evening (or bold-morning) cigar. Pair with coffee, a porter or milk stout, an añejo rum, or a soft bourbon (Basil Hayden). Ideal for smokers curious about maduros but wary of strength.
