Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Toro

The Diamond Crown Julius Caeser Toro is the classic size of J.C. Newman's tribute to its founder. Introduced in 2010 for the company's 115th anniversary and the 135th birthday of Julius Caeser Newman — whose middle name was misspelled by an immigration officer in 1888 — it's rolled in the Dominican Republic at Tabacalera A. Fuente with an Ecuadorian Havana wrapper, Dominican binder, and Caribbean and Central American filler.

Construction

A 6 × 52 toro in a silky Ecuadorian wrapper, rolled to Fuente's standards with a firm, even pack and a smooth draw.

Flavor profile

Medium to full-bodied and layered. Cedar and dark toast up front, building into roasted coffee, cocoa, and sweet spice, with a woody, creamy finish. About 60–75 minutes.
