The My Father Flor de las Antillas Belicoso brings the blend from Cigar Aficionado's 2012 Cigar of the Year line to a tapered 5½ × 52 figurado. Handcrafted at the Garcia family's My Father factory in Estelí, it pairs a golden Nicaraguan sun-grown wrapper with all-Nicaraguan binder and filler — the most balance-forward blend the Garcias make, sharpened slightly by the belicoso's focused head.

Construction

A soft box-press with a silky sun-grown wrapper and a neatly finished taper. Cold draw offers sweet hay and cocoa. Burn is slow and even, the ash bright and firm — award-line construction throughout.

Flavor profile

Medium to full-bodied with refinement leading. The first third opens on cocoa, nutmeg, and white pepper, slightly concentrated by the tapered head. The middle third sweetens into toffee, toasted bread, and gentle earth. The final third adds cinnamon warmth and a cedar finish. Constant, smooth transitions across 50–65 minutes.

Pairings & occasion
