The My Father Flor de las Antillas Toro is a flagship full-bodied cigar from one of the most respected family brands in premium cigars. Created by the legendary José “Pepin” Garcia and his family, this blend pays homage to Cuban heritage while showcasing rich Nicaraguan tobacco and impeccable construction. If you’re searching for a bold, well-balanced smoke with flavor depth and smooth strength, this is consistently a top-rated choice among seasoned smokers.

This 6 × 52 toro offers extended smoke time with a gradual flavor evolution from the first light. It hits with rich, earthy smoke, followed by layers of dark chocolate, espresso, sweet spice, and subtle cedar. The seamless construction and consistent draw mean this cigar performs as beautifully as it tastes — from start to finish. Whether you’re adding to your humidor rotation or looking for a standout smoke for evenings and special occasions, the Flor de las Antillas Toro delivers dependable quality and complexity.

Construction

Smooth, slightly oily wrapper with tight seams and a firm, even pack. Pre-light draw reveals cedar, dark cocoa, and a light, peppery sweetness. Once lit, the burn stays sharp with a solid ash forming throughout the session. The draw offers thick smoke production without becoming overly loose — giving a rich, textured profile that unfolds with every puff.

Flavor profile

Full-bodied and layered. The first third opens with rich earth, black pepper, and cocoa. The middle third transitions into roasted coffee, sweet spice, and occasional hints of leather. In the final third, the body deepens with caramelized sugar notes and lingering espresso undertones. Strength builds gradually but stays balanced and refined, never harsh.

Smoke time averages 75 to 90 minutes, making this an ideal evening or celebratory cigar for seasoned aficionados.

A Note on Availability

Pairing Recommendation

Pairs exceptionally well with barrel-proof bourbon, aged rum, or peaty single malt Scotch. The rich earth, dark cocoa, and espresso notes in the cigar harmonize beautifully with oak, vanilla, caramel, and spice in the glass.
