My Father Le Bijou 1922 Petit Robusto

The My Father Le Bijou 1922 Petit Robusto compresses one of the most decorated blends in modern cigars — the line whose Torpedo won Cigar Aficionado's #1 Cigar of 2015 — into a 4½ × 50 quick hitter. Same dark Habano Oscuro wrapper grown on the Garcia farms, same all-Nicaraguan core, roughly half the time commitment.

Construction

The Oscuro wrapper is thick, toothy, and nearly black. Cold draw pulls dark chocolate and raisin. Short cigars hide no flaws, and this one doesn't need to — even burn, solid ash, perfect draw.

Flavor profile

Full-bodied and immediate. There's no slow build here: black pepper, espresso, and dark earth arrive in the first inch, developing chocolate and charred oak through the middle, and finishing with leather and bold spice. The compact format makes the intensity feel even more concentrated. A 30–40 minute smoke that smokes like a 90-minute cigar in fast-forward.

Pairings & occasion

The full-bodied lover's lunch-break or morning-coffee cigar. Pair with espresso, a strong cold brew, or a pour of rye (Rittenhouse). Also the smart, low-commitment way to find out if the Le Bijou blend is for you.
