Nub Habano 466
The Nub Habano 466 is built on a simple, clever idea: most cigars hit their flavor "sweet spot" partway in, so why not start there? This stubby 4 × 66 gordo — created by Sam Leccia and made by Oliva in Nicaragua — wraps a rich Ecuadorian Habano leaf around a hearty Nicaraguan core to deliver peak flavor from the first draw.
Construction
Short, massive, and surprisingly well-balanced in the hand (and on its included ash — Nub fans famously balance them upright). The cold draw gives earth and spice. The wide ring burns slow and cool with a sturdy ash.
Flavor profile
Medium-full and concentrated. Expect bold earth, leather, and pepper up front, developing toasted sweetness, coffee, and cedar through the midsection, and finishing warm and spicy. No slow build, no wind-down — just 45–60 minutes of the good part.
Pairings & occasion
A conversation-starter at any herf, and a great cold-weather cigar — big flavor without a 2-hour porch commitment. Pair with bourbon (Buffalo Trace), a porter, or strong coffee.
