Oliva V Melanio No.4 Natural

The Oliva Serie V Melanio No. 4 is proof the award-winning Melanio blend survives miniaturization — a 4½ × 46 petit corona with the same Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper and aged Nicaraguan core as the vitolas that made the line famous, including Cigar Aficionado's 2014 Cigar of the Year.

Construction

A tidy, gently box-pressed petit corona with the line's signature oily golden wrapper. Cold draw brings raisin and cedar. Small format, full Melanio standards — even burn, solid ash, smooth draw.

Flavor profile

Medium-full and efficient. The smaller ring sharpens the wrapper's contribution: cocoa, espresso, and toasted almond arrive quickly, with the caramel sweetness surfacing by the midpoint and a dark chocolate finish. All the Melanio movements, performed in 30–40 minutes.

Pairings & occasion

The connoisseur's coffee-break cigar. Pair with espresso, a flat white, or a small pour of sherried Scotch (Macallan 12). Keep a few on hand for when time is short but standards aren't.
