Padron 1926 Series No.1 Natural

The Padron 1926 Serie No. 1 Natural is the Churchill of one of the most decorated lines in cigar history — a 6¾ × 54 box-pressed format that gives the five-year-aged Nicaraguan blend its longest, most expressive runway. Created to honor José Padron's 75th birthday and hand-rolled at the family factory in Estelí, the No. 1 wears a sun-grown Nicaraguan habano wrapper fermented for refinement rather than sweetness.

Construction

The box-press is firm and precise, the wrapper smooth with a fine tooth. Cold draw offers cedar, almond, and cocoa powder. Expect signature 1926 performance: a straight burn, inch-plus ash segments, and a flawless draw across nearly two hours.

Flavor profile

Full-bodied and complex, with the long format revealing more transitions than any other 1926 vitola. The first third opens on cedar, white pepper, and toasted almond. The middle third broadens into cream, cocoa, espresso, and warm bread. The final third sharpens — oak, dark coffee, and a clean peppery finish. A 90–110 minute smoke that rewards patience.
