Padron 1964 Anniversary Presidente Maduro

The Padron 1964 Anniversary Presidente Maduro is the dark-wrapper version of the line's classic 6 × 50 box-pressed format — sun-grown Nicaraguan tobaccos aged four years, rolled in Estelí, and finished in the oily Maduro leaf that gives the 1964 its sweeter, deeper voice. The numbered double band confirms what the first draw makes obvious.

Construction

A dark, oily wrapper over a precise box-press. Cold draw gives chocolate and dried fruit. Burn, ash, and draw perform like every 1964 — flawlessly and without drama.

Flavor profile

Full-bodied and dessert-leaning. The first third opens with cocoa, earth, and nutmeg. The middle third develops molasses sweetness, roasted coffee, and leather. The final third closes on a sweet cinnamon finish with a touch of pepper. Rich but never rough — the 1964 Maduro signature. A 70–85 minute smoke.

Pairings & occasion
