The Padron Family Reserve No. 44 Maduro is the dark-wrapper expression of Padrón's top tier — a 6 × 52 box-pressed torpedo rolled from vintage Nicaraguan tobaccos aged ten years. The "44" honors Padrón's 44th year in business, celebrated in 2008.

A near-black, oily wrapper over a firm press and a clean taper. The draw is effortless, the burn slow and even, and the ash firm from start to finish.

Flavor profile

Full-bodied and profound. A decade of aging turns the Maduro's dark cocoa, espresso, and molasses into something closer to velvet — layered, sweet, and smooth, with a finish that lingers. One of the finest maduros made anywhere. 75–90 minutes.
