The Rocky Patel Year of the Horse Churchill is a 7 × 48 box-pressed limited edition, released in 2026 to celebrate the Chinese Zodiac year of the Fire Horse. The third release in Rocky Patel's zodiac series — and the first blended by Nish Patel — it pairs an oily Mexican San Andrés wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and a filler of Nicaraguan and Honduran tobaccos. Production is limited to 6,000 boxes of 10.

Construction

A long, box-pressed Churchill in a dark, oscuro-shade wrapper, presented in black packaging that sets it apart from earlier zodiac releases. Cigar Aficionado rated it 91 points, praising its superb draw. Expect a slow, fairly even burn from light to finish.

Flavor profile

Medium-full. The first third opens dry and toasty, with earth and a touch of oak. The middle third builds into espresso and spice, and the final third brings out a caramel sweetness over deeper earth. Plan on two hours or more — this is a long, unhurried smoke.
