The Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Nicaragua Magnum is one of our best-selling cigars — and once you smoke one, you'll understand why. This is the larger, more concentrated expression of the Reserva Real Nicaragua blend: the same all-Nicaraguan binder and filler under an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, but in a 6 × 60 Magnum format that pushes the flavor depth and smoke duration to a different level. If the Robusto in this line is a daily driver, the Magnum is what you reach for when you want to settle in for a serious 90-to-120-minute smoke.

The 60 ring gauge is the key. More tobacco in the cross-section means more flavor compounds in every draw, a cooler-burning cigar (heat dissipates over a wider surface), and a smoother delivery throughout the smoke.

Construction

Magnums are challenging to roll well — at 60 ring gauge, draw calibration becomes critical, and a single rolling mistake can ruin the cigar. The Reserva Real Nicaragua Magnum is rolled with the precision the line is famous for: even seams, no soft spots, no veins on the Habano wrapper. The pre-light cold draw is open and rich, pulling cedar, leather, and a soft sweet pepper. The burn line stays sharp, and the ash holds in solid 1.5-to-2-inch segments — exactly what you want from a longer smoke.

Flavor profile

Medium-bodied, full-flavored. The Magnum format reveals the Nicaragua blend's full character. The first third opens with cedar, a defined black pepper, and a creamy mouthfeel that the Robusto can't quite match — the larger ring gauge produces a denser, richer smoke. The middle third broadens significantly: cocoa, toasted nuts, espresso, and a developing earthiness that gives the smoke serious weight without ever turning harsh. The final third settles into a coffee-and-cream finish with a touch of caramel sweetness, the pepper resolving into a warm hum on the retrohale.
