This is a flagship-tier vitola in the Reserva Real line, offering all the smoothness, complexity, and refined construction the line is known for, in a Toro Grande format that gives the blend full room to develop.

Wrapped in a smooth Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade leaf with a binder and filler blend of aged Dominican, Honduran, and Nicaraguan tobacco, this cigar is hand-rolled at the Altadis factory in Honduras. The Reserva Real line uses Altadis's most experienced rollers and the most extensively aged tobacco in the catalog.

Construction

The Connecticut Shade wrapper is flawless — even seam, no veins, smooth from light to nub. The pre-light cold draw is calibrated perfectly. Cold notes pull cedar and a quiet sweetness. Once lit, the burn line stays sharp throughout the smoke and the ash holds in solid 1.5-inch segments. Like every Reserva Real, this is a cigar that doesn't fight you.

Flavor profile

Mild to medium bodied, full-flavored. The first third opens with cedar, sweet cream, and a touch of almond. The middle third broadens — vanilla, toasted bread, and a soft coffee-with-cream finish develop, with a quiet baking spice on the retrohale. The final third reveals the most depth — warm cedar, light caramel, and a subtle nuttiness that holds all the way to the band.

The longer Toro Grande format gives this cigar more developmental room than the standard Toro — every transition is a little more pronounced, the middle third stretches longer, and the smoke takes on a creamier, richer mouthfeel as it progresses.
