Arturo Fuente Royal Salut Natural

The Arturo Fuente Royal Salute Natural is the stately giant of Fuente's Connecticut offerings — a 7½ × 54 double Churchill rolled in the Dominican Republic with a smooth Connecticut Shade wrapper over aged Dominican binder and filler. Mellow, generous, and unhurried: a cigar measured in chapters, not minutes.

Construction

A pale, even wrapper applied flawlessly across seven and a half inches. Cold draw brings cream and hay. The burn tracks straight for the entire marathon, with the dependable draw Fuente builds into everything.

Flavor profile

Mellow to medium-bodied and silky. The first third opens with cream, cedar, and fresh bread. The long middle develops toasted nuts, a soft honey sweetness, and coffee with cream. The final third stays smooth to a clean, nutty finish. Nearly two hours of low-stress, high-polish smoking.

Pairings & occasion

The all-afternoon cigar — fishing trips, long conversations, slow Sundays. Pair with coffee, champagne, a wheat beer, or a light Irish whiskey (Green Spot). Gentle enough to be many smokers' first Churchill; good enough to stay in the rotation.
