Oliva V Melanio Figurado Natural

The Oliva V Melanio Figurado Natural is one of the most celebrated Nicaraguan cigars ever produced — a box-pressed, expertly rolled figurado that consistently ranks among the highest-rated premium cigars in the industry. Named in honor of Melanio Oliva, the patriarch of the Oliva family, this blend showcases aged Nicaraguan tobaccos crafted for depth, balance, and precision.

The Figurado format enhances the smoking experience by concentrating flavor at the tapered head before gradually opening up into a fuller draw. It’s a format that demands skilled construction, and the Melanio delivers it with consistency and elegance. If you’re searching for a top-rated Nicaraguan cigar with complex transitions and flawless construction, this is a benchmark selection.

Construction

Box-pressed with clean, sharp edges and tight seams, the Melanio Figurado has a silky, medium-brown Natural wrapper with a subtle sheen. The tapered head cuts cleanly and offers a controlled draw that opens beautifully as the burn progresses. The burn line remains sharp, producing thick, creamy smoke and a firm ash structure. Construction is consistently excellent from first light to final inch.

Flavor profile

Medium to full-bodied with layered complexity. The opening third delivers cedar, dark cocoa, and light pepper. As the cigar transitions into the middle third, roasted coffee, toasted almond, and subtle caramel sweetness develop. The final third deepens with earth, leather, and baking spice while maintaining balance and smoothness. Strength builds gradually without overwhelming the palate.

Smoke time averages 75 to 90 minutes depending on pace. The figurado shape creates a dynamic progression that keeps the flavor profile evolving throughout the session.

This is a refined, award-caliber cigar ideal for experienced smokers, celebratory moments, or anyone looking to stock their humidor with a proven top performer.
