Padron 1926 Series No.1 Maduro

The Padron 1926 Serie No. 1 Maduro is the full-length, full-power expression of the 1926 Anniversary line — a 6¾ × 54 box-pressed Churchill draped in a dark Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper. Hand-rolled in Estelí from sun-grown tobaccos aged a minimum of five years, it takes the rich, sweet character the 1926 Maduros are famous for and stretches it across nearly two hours.

Construction

A near-black, oily wrapper over a firm, squared box-press. The cold draw gives dark chocolate and raisin. Burn, ash, and draw are exactly what the Padron name promises — effortless from light to nub.

Flavor profile

Full-bodied, rich, and unhurried. The first third leads with dark cocoa, espresso, and soft black pepper. The middle third develops molasses, roasted nuts, and dark-roast coffee. The final third settles into bittersweet chocolate, leather, and sweet earth with a long, warm finish. The extended format makes the transitions slower and deeper than the smaller 1926 Maduros. Plan on 90–110 minutes.
